Hazel’s POV 

I returned home feeling disappointed to find no job vacancy at the only school in Lucania. Where else could I hunt for jobs without leaving my village? There was no way I could pursue my dream career here. The only options left for me were the temporary jobs around the village. 

After freshening up, I desperately needed a shoulder to cry on. Maybe Aunt Cassie would have a solution for me. Maybe I could keep myself occupied at the packhouse in the meantime. Anything was better than nothing. With no news of Hera, I felt lonely. Maybe I would get some updates if I stayed at the packhouse with my aunts. 

I started the car and steered it towards the packhouse. 

I found Aunt Cassie busy cooking with Aunt Carla in the packhouse kitchen when I reached there. The hunters had returned with a big haul and a feast was being prepared for all. “You can join us too, Hazel!”
