Book 5: Clarifications

Cerelia’s POV 

The sight of the log cabin, tucked away in the trees at the far end of the property with a gurgling creek nearby, took my breath away. It was so different from Xandrios’s sprawling penthouse with all its modern amenities. 

We collected our luggage from the car and walked up to the cozy deck with a sit-out. “Is this ours?” I looked around at the other cabins at a distance. They were larger and clustered together, and all were occupied.

Xandrios nodded, unlocked the cabin, and wheeled our luggage inside. I couldn’t contain my curiosity and followed him inside to check my room. Just as I had expected, there was a single bedroom with a queen-sized bed and an attached washroom. The tiny living area had a loveseat and a dining area with an open kitchen. 

“Oh! I can sleep on the sofa.” It was a little small for me, but I could squeeze in. 

“No, need. The bed is big enough.” He glanced at my flushed cheeks and
