Scarlett’s POV
It’s been a year since my vacation in Las Vegas. I haven’t heard anything from William since, so our relationship faded into memories. I still had the tattoo we got together—it’s been the only thing that confirms it was real, not a dream.
My life went back to how it was before—stupid guys shouting things on the street, jobs under the sun as an influencer and publicist. Hours in the studio recording promotional videos for brands and other stressful tasks I’ve had to do.
Olive was always with me now; our relationship improved after that night we talked—for both of us, it was like we never went to Vegas. Francis hasn’t spoken to her again, and William hasn’t shown any sign of life. However, I would sometimes check his social media and see his photos. In one of them, his tattoo was visible. Knowing that he hadn’t covered it up with another design gave me a strange sense of peace.
