Chapter 41
Olive’s POV
When William brought her into my room and asked me not to be too harsh, I got angry. I wanted to shout at him and tell him he couldn’t bring his problems into my room, that it was unfair, that it was a selfish act. Of course, I never said any of that. This was his house, not mine. I didn’t have any say in this opulent place. In the first few days with Mérida, I looked at her with anger. I didn’t speak to her or even look at her much; I acted as if she didn’t exist.
Angry about the situation, I imposed some strict and unpleasant rules on her. I even told her she couldn’t use my bathroom. The bathrooms outside were usually occupied by the guys, and she often had to wait for everyone to finish before she could use them. Now that I think about it, it must have been difficult for her. It must be hard to live in the same house as us. Over time, I’ve spoken to her a bit more. I now let her use my bathroom, and at night, we have small, unusual conversations.<
