William’s POV

“It’s been amazing.”

“No kidding, I had a great time. Thank you for listening,” she smiled.

“Thanks for forgiving my stupidity. But from now on, we’re not going to do this so often. We’ll stick to the usual. You in Olive’s room, me in mine, and so on.”

“Alright, it’s a pleasure to be able to sort everything out at once. Do you have any big secrets?” she suddenly asked. I lowered the volume of the radio and glanced at her sideways without taking my hands off the wheel.

“I don’t have any secrets,” I laughed.

“We all have secrets, even the dumbest ones.”

“No, Mérida, not everyone has secrets. And if you want to know something about me or some secret,” I replied calmly, “I’d say it’s sleeping with my father.”

“Don’t tell me you’ve told your friends that,” she exclaimed.

I shrugged and smirked, “Everyone in the house knows, or at least most of them. I think the only one who isn’t aware is Olive.”
