Chapter 5
Scarlett’s POV
I parked the car in the easiest spot for me to find. The cars around here were luxurious. It had been over two days since I last heard from the millionaire I met. He was someone with witty responses but played at being tough within his comfort zone. It’s strange because it should be the opposite. He asked me if I’m like that or if he just treats strangers well because he won’t see them again. I should apply that method. It could work well, and it would be cool if I ran into someone on the street who I treated well and they approached me to talk.
I felt so happy that I bought breakfast and took it home to apologize to Olive. I hated being in fights with her. I hated that she thought I was jealous of her relationship with Francis. I didn’t feel anything for him. I didn’t know him, and I didn’t care. Why the hell was she mad at me? It was silly.
I walked to the kitchen and showed her the bag with a smile, hoping for a good reaction from her.
