Chapter 9
Scarlett’s POV
The meal had ended, and Francis was in a corner with his phone. I approached him and gave him a slight smile. I don’t know where Olive has gone, but since she went upstairs, she hasn’t bothered to come back down.
He took a deep breath before saying something, and he looked at me intently.
“Did something happen with Olive?”
“No,” I grimaced. “Why?”
“Because you never come over to talk to me, and here you are.”
“Francis, I didn’t…”
“It doesn’t matter, Scarlett. My brother has always been the favorite of everyone.”
“Francis,” I grabbed his arm. “I didn’t come over to you because I thought you were just some random guy, someone without personality but quite attractive. And that’s the truth.”
