Scarlett’s POV
The moonlight was the only thing illuminating our bodies, and I could feel the man next to me staring at the sky without paying attention to anything else. And that was the idea of tonight, allowing ourselves to be who we are, letting what happened flow, letting out that kiss that meant nothing more than an impulse.
This was William’s night. The night in which he could be himself without worrying about his girlfriend, his parents, or his job. Sometimes he was photographed without wanting to, and I prayed that tonight wouldn’t come to light before other people’s eyes. I hoped that tonight would remain just between the two of us. Like a secret that no one should know.
