Chapter 14. Sassy
In the front garden, there were golden statues adorning every corner, and among them that of two women. One of the vassals who accompanied her explained that it was each of his concubines. Eliza could tell from the statues that they were beautiful women. But there was a third one that had not yet been finished. Who would it be? Would he honor her with a statue, too? Of course, hers would have to be bigger and in the best place in the garden. After all, she was Farida and would give him heirs.
As soon as they set foot in the huge hall, a small man came to meet Pharaoh, all tired and out of breath. He was visibly desperate.
"Your Majesty! I am glad you have arrived!" He said and bowed.
"Calm down, Onis, what has happened?" Moses asked in fear that some calamity had befallen the kingdom. His heart leaped.
"Pharaoh, one of your concubines has made us live a torment in your absence. My lord, Matheus tried to control her, but it was in vain
