Chapter 18. Pharaoh's Gift
Moses talked to his friend Alfred, who at first thought that Pharaoh was testing his loyalty, but in the course of the conversation, saw how important it was for Pharaoh. He did not refuse and acted as if he had received a valuable prize, for Eliza was very beautiful.
And so, as agreed with the beast, it was done. Afhany reacted with rebellion at first, but after Liã made her see that it was better this way, for she really did not wish to become Matheus' mistress and not even to see herself possessed by a beast, she agreed. And she learned that Alfred felt honored and happy with Pharaoh's trust.
After everything was settled, Moses went to see his Farida and asked what she wanted as a gift.
"I want the concubines to be like my slaves and that I can give orders to them."
Moses did not like the request.
"What you want is impossible."
