Chapter 13. Back Home

After staring at each other for a moment, Moses stepped back, putting his sword away.

"Don't you dare challenge me ever again? I will not spare your life again." Moses said quietly with an amused smile.

"Why didn't you kill me? Better death than dishonor." Don John asked, exhausted.

"Because I am staying in your house. It would not be good manners to kill the host, even if he deserves it. Now, I will take my belongings and leave with my guards."

"You will not take my daughter."

"Keep her."

Don John glared at him.

"You never wanted her, did you?"

"I wanted her the moment I saw her, and like any other man, I wanted her for myself, but she doesn't behave like a true Farida. I did not fight you for her but for my god."

"How dare you? The one who failed to fulfill his obligations was you!"

"I explained to her why."
