Chapter 16

Adam couldn’t believe it. The woman who had caught his fancy and made him lose his sense of control to passion was his wife. One of the best sex he had ever had was with Veronica. He swallowed, his throat going dry as he remembered he was married to her and he could be with her again as the other night. His body felt uncomfortable as he thought of the night, every steamy detail coming to his mind. He yanked at the tie on his neck, pulling it downwards as heat suffused his whole body.

He glanced at the air conditioner, wondering why it was not on and scowled as he realized it was on and working perfectly. Maybe he needed to go to the hospital; he guessed he was coming down with the flu.

Veronica. He smiled. He couldn’t have believed the vixen who didn’t want to get married to him was the same temptress they had both torn at each other in passion without even asking what each other’s name was. They had both been drunk and had started bantering as they sat close to each oth
