Chapter 16
A sudden, forceful, familiar breath rushed in, causing Carolina to almost lose her breath. She struggled to push him away, her voice trembling: “Red! What do you want?”
Being entangled in intimacy, she felt her heart ache even more. Why was he acting like this now? Wasn’t he afraid that Mirian might catch them?
Red used his thumb to wipe the corner of his mouth, a faint trace of blood on his finger. Brave move, biting him!
“Since we haven’t met for a few days, you’ve become so stubborn like this. I prefer your softer demeanor from before,” he said, looking directly at her.
At first, she obediently followed him because he had rescued her and her brother and because he was a cruel man. But now, she couldn’t bear it any longer.
“Tonight, I will come to your place.”
“Isn’t tonight the time you’ll be going with Mirian? You don’t need to come to my place,” she turned her face away, not wanting to see that wicked smile.
Red took a few steps forward
