Chapter 18
Red twiddled the ring on his finger, not saying a word. A sharp gleam flickered in his dark, glinting eyes, resembling some predatory creature.
Karla sat on another sofa, hunched over, holding a cigarette on the table. She looked into the distance and asked, “Why do you care about this?”
“Nothing, just casually bringing it up,” Rodas calmly replied, his expression unchanged. If Rodas had asked that question to anyone else, they wouldn’t have dared to ask like that. Who would dare to question Red’s methods?
But Rodas and Karla were not like anyone else. They were not only his strong supporters but also his college friends. A person who could control everything in the palm of their hand, even though appearing carefree when suggesting something, would still accept it.
