Chapter 31
A moment later, the door opened, and Zohar pulled Kaylin inside.
Kaylin’s face showed a hint of annoyance. When she saw Red carefully tending to Carolina’s wound, she turned her head, displeased.
"Kaylin, please have a seat." Carolina said, feeling embarrassed.
"Kaylin, I’ll go pour some water for sis," Ryan said obediently as he went to fetch a glass.
Kaylin sighed but held back her words. She worried about Ryan and knew she couldn’t let him find out about this.
"It’s done. For the next few days, you shouldn’t touch water. Tomorrow, I’ll have some helpers come over." Red put away the first-aid kit.
Carolina didn’t expect a man like him to know how to handle wounds.
Kaylin stepped forward, grabbing Carolina’s arm. "Come on, let’s go upstairs. I have something to talk to you about."
Red lit a cigarette, watching them go upstairs. "Did you talk to her?"
