Book 3: Anacá’s Threat
Eros's POV
I landed in Athens the next day and loaded our luggage into my car. My first reaction was to rush over to Josh Hemmingway’s house and confront her. I was sure she had gone there. But my phone buzzed with a message, and I checked before heading towards Josh’s house.
To my immense surprise, it was a message from Anacá.
I have returned home. Please send me my luggage. You don’t need to visit me. Just send all my stuff from your house. I’ll bear the costs. When I’m better, I’ll come down to work. You can deduct my pay. This is a desperate request for you. Please stay away from me. If you don’t, I’ll seek police protection or commit suicide, and you’ll be the only one to blame.
Anacá.
I gasped with horror, rereading her message slowly.
“F*ck!” I clenched my hands together in frustration. Home? Was Josh’s house her home? Where would I send her the luggage?
Mad fury coursed
