Book 3: How Dare She Fight Me?

Eros's POV

I seethed with fury as I stared at my laptop screen. I hadn’t expected Anacá to fight me. So, she didn’t need the job. It was all a fake show to gather sympathy. I wondered who was supporting her against me.

The answer was obvious. It had to be Josh and his family.

The day my office security called me, I reached the office at midnight, and he informed me about Anacá’s departure. Someone took her away. If my car hadn’t given me problems that night, I would have reached earlier and faced Josh.

Anacá hadn’t completed the work I gave her. Obviously, I hadn’t expected her to. But I wouldn’t have thrown her out for incompetence. Maybe I would have just warned her. Now that she had hired an attorney to fight her case, it wouldn’t make me release her. I wanted her to suffer the way she was making me pine for her.

I could tolerate anything but not betrayal. If she loved Josh so much, she shouldn’t have married
