Chapter 15. New Game
Trumpets silenced the chirping of Paramour’s creatures. A woman wearing a black pearl veil struts to the front of the balcony. Her eyes were as sharp as a hawk’s, aided by smokey makeup, especially thick, pointed black eyeliner.
That figure was alien to the other creatures and made a lot of noise, except for Carl Justin. His broad chest rose and fell like he was facing a thunderbolt. His pack escorted Madam Jenn’s appearance. Marco and Ravin were on either side of Madam Jenn, while Letta and Arka guarded the rear. The two aide fairies sensitively retreated, making room for the new ruler.
“So she’s the nasty grandmother,” Zee whispered. Her fingers intertwined with Justin’s, forming a firm grip. The man felt abandoned. Even after being lost to the target, they didn’t look for Justin. They moved on with their lives. They were arbitrarily rising to the highest position in Paramour’s government.
