Chapter 45. Hot Night

Caroline's POV

Suddenly, a lady grabbed my hand. "Hey, are you looking for something? I can predict your future for her and also bless you young couples," the witch said.

I turned to look at Jackson, and he nodded in agreement, besides that was the only way for the woman to let go of my hand.

We got into her tent and there was a table in the middle of it with two chairs in front of it. She motioned for us to sit. Once we were seated, she brought out a crystal ball and started to move her hands above it.

The ball glowed, and she suddenly seemed engrossed as if she was watching something from it. Her face slowly hardened.

"What is it?" Jackson asked, but she didn't say anything and only shrugged at me.

"Nothing really happened. Why don't I bless you now?" She said, but I could see there was something wrong and the sudden change in her tone made it obvious.

She rose and started to chant some unknown
