Caroline's POV
I moved in bed but felt something was restricting my movements. I looked down at what it was and found a strong hand with visible veins around my waist, and it tightened, pressing me something hard behind me. My bare back pressed against Jackson's rock-hard chest, and there was that electric jolt that made me bite my lover's lip quickly.
I slowly turned to look at him and just like always, it was hard for me to tear my gaze from the handsome face of this man. I saw him as a perfectionist, and everything about him was perfect to me. I never thought I would meet a man this perfect and loving. Someone who saw my worth and would always put me first.
I had been trying to ignore how my heart beats faster when he was close and seemed dead when he was far. I missed him even when we were close. Was this love? Because if it was, then I guess I fell rapidly even after the lesson I had learned from it.
