Chapter 50. Conspiracies and Hidden Agendas

Caroline's POV

Philip is a desperate man, willing to go to extreme lengths for his desires. If he regains his senses, he'll do everything possible to get back at me. But I don't care. As long as I know I've broken the bond between us, there's nothing to worry about.

I rested my body on the bed, and suddenly, there was a knock on the door. I knew it was Jackson. No one else.

We all exchanged glances and heard the knock again. I quickly sat up properly on the bed, so Jackson wouldn't suspect anything. I suggested to Lawuren to go open the door, and she agreed.

She quietly walked to the door and opened it slightly before opening it wider. "Welcome, sir," she said, bowing down. That answered my curiosity.
