Caroline's POV

It was a considerable thing to do for love, and I questioned my willpower to actually do that for love if put in that situation. Would I be able to risk my life so Jackson? The answer was yes, I would do that no matter what.

"Yes, I'm ready to renounce my powers. I'm not concerned about the consequences. Let's do it and let's do it now and waste no more time," she said desperately.

They passed her a sad expression, perhaps thinking that she was desperate to give up her powers just so she wouldn't have anything to do with the witch clan. "All right then," they turned to me. "We need to do this and it is something discreet. We can't let others see or hear anything about this, so please excuse," they said as I turned away without waiting for them to continue further.

I walked away and far away from them until I was at a far distance. The dark forest made me aware of my surroundings.
