Caroline's POV

Another intense training today at the hunting and I couldn't help remember Lauwren how she would have fought until she won. She had a competitive spirit just like me and that's why I liked her. It was difficult to lose her during the fight. I knew it was selfish of me, but I wish she was here with me.

I was getting bored every day with her around and to distract myself, I often met with Jackson. He was a good companion, and although he was really busy at some point, he still tried to make time for me, and it made me proud of the man he was.

Of course, I had my responsibility but found an easier way of handling them and instead of wasting time with one problem, I think of a way of resolving all the problems at once so there wouldn't be a future problem. Jackson had complimented me on that several times.
