Leah's POV

I couldn’t believe what I’d just heard. Blake, my husband, was being held captive by the Black Bird Wolves, and my own mother, Amanda, was supporting the whole thing. I went to confront her, unable to hold the question in any longer.

“Why would you support them?” I asked, my voice shaking with anger and confusion.

“Because they know what’s best for the pack,” she replied, cold as ever.

“But Blake is my husband,” I said, my voice rising. “How could you do this to him?”

Her eyes narrowed. “He’s not your husband. You tricked him into choosing you over Sophia.”

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. “That’s not true. Blake chose to marry me because he loves me.”
