The fifth day, she was smiling broadly because she just received a bouquet of orange flowers, signifying my desire for her. It was almost as though it was planned, especially after what happened in the room the previous day.

During the meal after that, she didn’t say anything, just kept stealing glances at me. Why won’t you say something? I wondered.
