Iris’s POV

I didn’t know Sean was such an incurable romantic. I started realizing that fact when he started sending me flowers. He’d sent me flowers before when we were not married but this time it was different. I call this one a subtle seduction with roses of different colors.

The first day, I received blue roses from my dear contract husband, to with a note, reading, “You are a unique being. So refined that it makes me want to be a better person from my crude self, just for you.”

It was signed: Sean A.

I was touched. I thought of Sean and could not think of any crudeness in him but it was good to know that he thought that I refine him. When I saw him, I told him what I thought.

“You are unique as well.”

The second bouquet of roses I received was the next day and the color was purple, the color of royalty. The note caused me to tear up.
