“What are your plans after this?” Nathan asked, “Are you going straight back to New York?”

Elena nodded. “Yes, but before returning to New York, I want to check on the progress of the new warehouse construction there. Then there’s a big meeting with the board of directors.”

“Good. If you need my team to help with market analysis or local connections, just let me know.”

“Okay, my husband. I’m lucky to have you.”

Nathan smiled. “Finally, you realize it too.”

Elena playfully pinched Nathan’s arm. “Arrogant.”

“I’m just being honest,” Nathan chuckled.

Suddenly, a notification popped up on Elena’s phone. She opened the message from her lawyer.

“Oh,” Elena murmured softly. “Melinda confessed.”

Nathan immediately turned his attention. “Confessed to what?”

“She confessed to intentionally starting a fire in the warehouse with two of her colleagues. They were paid by a former competitor who was almost merged with my company.”
