Chapter 120
“Mom—” Mrs. Sonia tried to interrupt, but the grandmother raised her hand to refuse being persuaded.
“I’m leaving. Prepare the car.”
A middle-aged female assistant hurried in from outside the house and immediately helped the grandmother out. There was no hug. No farewell. Only silence remained in the living room after the old woman’s departure.
