Chapter 102

Anita’s POV

“Hello,” I voiced as the first person I rang was my mom.

Something struck at the back of my head.

“If she was my mother, why hadn’t she come to check up on me? Or was she dead?”

“Mom, this is Anita. Do you remember me?” I asked the middle-aged female voice that sounded on the other end of the phone.

There was a long silence, and eventually the call ended.

I dialed the number again, but this time it went into voicemail.

“Hmm, maybe it’s the network,” I murmured to myself.

I went on with the second number, which was my dad’s. I dialed for a few minutes but got no response.

I scrolled down and saw a number I saved as “my boyfriend.” I decided to dial it.

“Hello, who is this? How can I be of help?” the male voice echoed through the phone.
