Damien’s POV

I stared blankly as I drifted slowly into nothingness, and from nothingness to something that had taken a huge turn in my life.

My love life.

It was empty and lifeless. It was scarred.

But why? How could she?

All these questions went on in my head as I took a sip of my wine. The wine wasn’t doing its work, to be honest.

Anita Natalia Brandon. Left me out in the dark, cold, and bare.

It had been five years, and everything still seemed like yesterday.

And one funny mistake I made was thinking that Joan was going to fill that void that Anita left, but I was wrong!

But what surprised me the most to this day was the fact that I never really liked Anita but something just felt off when she disappeared.
