Anita’s POV

“I could call in sick or something; all I know is that I don’t want to go to Chicago!” I exclaimed as I slammed myself into the sofa in my living room.

My minimalist living room has been my comfort apart from God for all these years. The warm brown and cool white colors just made it so comforting.

“Well, even if you call in sick, destiny can delay, not deny,” Richard said.

Dang!!! That’s true.

“But what do I do?” I asked Richard, confused. He and Eric both made their way out of the kitchen. Eric didn’t know a thing, so we had decided to talk in codes.
