Damien’s POV

“Damien, what is going on?” Jason asked as I picked up my phone.

“What do you mean?” I was confused while I drove home.

“Man, the news is blowing up; you are the star!” Jason revealed.

Wait… Oh no…

I parked my car by the roadside, wanting to confirm my thoughts. I hung up the call with Jason and checked the news.

Joan had yet to do it again.

I read through the whole headline, and I stopped my heartbeat when I came across a statement.

“The influencer had stated that her new lover had confessed to her that his ex-bride, Anita Brandon, had allegedly been accused of trying to dupe him of his father’s financial assets, hence why she disappeared.”

Oh my goodness! What was she thinking? When did I “confess” to her?

I swiped through the comments, and it was mind-blowing.

With what Joan had done, I was already expecting a huge comeback from Anita’s family, especially her sister.
