Anita’s POV

I wondered why my own parents and sister would abandon me to my own fate in a place where I knew nobody.

I thought and thought about it, but it never clicked. I finally gulped down the remaining coconut drink.

It was a sunny day. It reminded me of the tropics; it reminded me of the most elite vacation I had been on.

It reminded me of Damien!

I loved traveling, but I never took time to book a vacation for myself. In which Damien boked immediately, he saw I needed one…

“I got a surprise for you, little cupcake,” Damien whispered as soon as he got into my office at my workplace.

“Wait, what is that?” I asked innocently as I continued typing, but he wasn’t having it, then swirled me around to face him.

“I have spoken to your boss, and I told him I need my woman all to myself for a while, like three weeks straight. Imagine he is such a kind man that gave me an extra one week to it,” he said playfully, but he was serious.<
