Chapter 25

Anita’s POV

I woke up with an intense abdominal pain that went right straight to my back. My whole system was discombobulated. I struggled to move my body to grab my phone from the table on which I was charging it.

The time was past two a.m., and the sharp contraction came in again as I moved my belly, but this time the pain was so intense that I let out a scream.

I felt a warmness between my inner thighs, and immediately I knew my water had broken.

I was in labor, and the babies were coming.

I immediately started to dial for Jenna, but her phone was switched off, which was very unusual of her. I started to take deep breaths to regulate the pain.

I decided to call Richard.

“Hello,” he said grumpily, half awake, and I understood that it was midnight.
