Chapter 53

Anita’s POV

There are some messages you just stare at and wonder how on earth you are going to reply to them.

Well, this one was one of them.

I had only two options. The first option was to reply to the message, which was sanely what any human should do.

The second option was just for me to ignore, which was what my introverted self would do, and I guess we already knew what I would do.

Ignore.

I dropped my phone and started watching a movie. Basically, the movie was all about a woman who got dumped for being the girl of the family. Such a thrilling movie, I thought to myself.

We almost seemed similar. I and the main character of my life, while she is the main character of the movie, seem to have abandoned our lives, except that I got abandoned for leaving my rich fiancé, who clearly wanted to use me as bait.

Sick!

I wonder where Richard has gone, but whatever surprise he has, it better be an early flight back to Chicago.<
