Mike pressed harder, finishing with the cleaning of the wound and Jesse clenched his teeth, obviously doing his best not to let out a sound. Mike opened the packet of the bandage and left it to the side.

It was hurting like hell, there was on doubt, but Mike was trying to be as careful as possible.

What was more important now, however, was to pretend he hadn’t heard what Jesse had asked.

Perhaps he’d asked it because he was still drunk, and the pain was making him dizzy.

Or he’d let the question slip accidentally.

“Were you undercover then too…”

No, Mike tried not to think of this.

There was no way Jesse had found out of all the people who were part of the gang.

Even Garrey hadn’t noticed it.

If he had, Michael would have been dead by now.
