Chapter 20
Madison couldn’t curb Mark's overexcitement immediately after he alighted from the car and stepped foot in the mansion.
“Wow,” he awed at the beauty of the mansion. Madison wanted to restrain him from running around, but Nathan stopped her:
“Let him be,” he said, his smile suggesting he was enjoying the kid's vibrant behavior.
Mark was all over the place. " Where’s the pool?” he asked impatiently. Regardless of what Nathan said, Madison grabbed Mark by the hand and scolded him. They walked into the mansion, and Mark was taken aback. He said it was heaven, which made Nathan laugh.
“Where is the pool?” he asked again in his charming childish voice. Mark didn’t even want to eat anything Madison offered to him, and he only wanted to go into the pool.
The day wasn’t all that cloudy, per se. Moreover, they all could use the refreshment from the water. Madison was so worried about the coffee shop. She liked to believe the fire that almost razed the entire plac
