Chapter 19

When Madison and Nathan got there, the entire coffee shop was in a mess. The windows had been completely shattered, and the doors burned down to ashes. Lila was just sobbing in a corner outside the coffee shop. The sight was dreadful.

“What happened here?” Madison walked up to Lila and asked. Lila tried to speak, but it was all tears. She valued the coffee shop like it was hers. Lila had fallen in love with the shop because of how Madison loved it.

“C’mon, Lila, talk to me,” Madison said.
