Chapter 6
The ray of sunlight gently found its way through the curtains of the room, slowly meeting Madison’s face on Nathan’s chest. Madison gradually opened her eyes, her vision becoming clearer with every blink she made.
Nathan wasn’t left out of the dawning of the blissful early morning’s sun rays. He opened his eyes, too, and found Madison blinking right at him. Nathan may have thought he spent the night in one of the guest houses in the city. But when the remnants of the sleep slowly filtered from his eyes, he knew it was Madison.
Nathan sat up in haste, knocking Madison’s head off his chest.
“Ouch!” she exclaimed after bumping her head hard against the foamy and soft pillow.
“What was that for?” she asked a confused looking Nathan.
“I’m sorry,” she tendered an apology.
“How did you get here?” he further inquired from her.
“Weren’t you the one who kept insisting on sleeping here last night?” Madison answered his question with a question. Nathan
