Chapter 11

Nathan’s subconscious quickly sensed the intruder's presence. His reflexes got the best of him, and he woke up startled, striking out a deadly blow at the intruder.

“Ouch!” Henry exclaimed in pain. Madison jumped up as well, awakened by the sound of Henry crashing into the table.

“Henry?!” Nathan asked in surprise. Madison was keen on adjusting her gown before paying attention to the situation.

“What are you even doing here?” Nathan inquired from him.

“What do you mean by what I am doing here?” Henry was furious at the blow given to him by Nathan. He kept rubbing his jaw as he tried to regain his balance.

“I saw your car abandoned outside, so I decided to check out this building,” Henry said.

“Well, you shouldn’t have crept up on us like that,” said Nathan.

“Whatever,” Henry finally regained his balance, though his jaw was still hurting.
