Chapter 67. The War at Wales
Rachel was surprised when Ezekiel asked Luther about the companion. She can be with Michelle all the time, twenty-four hours a day, without even batting an eye that is mainly caused by boredom. The least concern Rachel had was the companion, but she guessed she had to tolerate the way to Wales if that’s fine.
Luther sat straight up and turned to her as if masking her emotions–whether it was alright or not. For her, it wasn’t. They chose to separate their ways weeks apart from the present time, and Ezekiel was pushing that he is the best companion Rachel and Michelle had.
“There’s no time left. We have to decide fast. Are you going or not?”
If only Ezekiel was allowed to be with Rachel, he’ll drop his rifle and be with her. But he had to protect the town, and there was no way he’d be happy holding her hand while everyone suffered from the obstacles that the attackers inflicted.
