Chapter 9. The Accomplishment of Dare
“Cheers!”
Everyone held their mugs high. Ezekiel, who was sitting in the last row, took his shot first. He was not in the mood to rejoice. Ezekiel felt bad about kissing a woman he only met one day.
While they talked, Ezekiel sat down and wrote down the possibilities of his plan failing on a piece of paper. He read it again and again, wondering how his position could help with the plan he needed to carry out.
He was suddenly slapped.
When Timothy Black slid in beside Ezekiel, he snapped out of his reverie.
“What’s a grumpy evening? Do you believe slouching will bring you good luck?”
He remained silent and crumpled the paper. Nobody should be aware of his hidden agenda.
“I’m just tired of the drill earlier, Mr. Black,” his tired voice exclaimed.
