Chapter 8. The Withdrawal from the Kiss
Rachel yanked Ezekiel from her body. His back hit the opposite wall. The sudden burst of Rachel irritated him. He furrowed his brows. Interrupting someone’s kiss was as aggravating as failing to hit a target.
The mademoiselle turned to face the student who had interrupted their private moment and realized it was someone from the other class. She covered her mouth with her hand. Rachel blushed, knowing that a mistake deserved to be punished.
“Why are you withdrawing a kiss from this gentleman, Ms. Rachel Han?”
She was embarrassed. Rachel has a boyfriend, and he, too, is studying Victorian law. Turning to Ezekiel, she blinked several times, was about to explain it was a wrong idea, but he chimed in, “I am the one who kissed her precipitously. There’s nothing to be concerned about with our affair.”
