Scarlett’s POV
He remains wordless, and after a while, he begins whistling a tune, almost like nothing of what I’d said affected him. When he’s about to leave the room is when I realize that I can’t stay here alone, not with the level of boredom that would probably kill me.
“Hey, cop. Can I go to the living room? I don’t care if you tie me up there, but there’s a tv there and everything. If you’re going to tie me up, at least leave me with some entertainment. Isn’t that what they say?” I shrug. Compromise now; fight later.
