Chapter 26. Wounds
Enshin cries out as he slams a fist into the table he was lying on, then continues gulping down a bottle. “You just had to show off, didn’t you?” Brother Volo sighs as he pulls the next stitch. “You’ve barely recovered from your bout with the werewolf on the last Hunt.”
“You fought a werewolf?” Veera asks. “What was that like?”
The Hunter waves a hand and replies, “Nothing special,” and he drains the rest of the bottle.
There’s a snip as the monk ties off the last of the black thread and finishes, “Now actually wait for the wounds to close and please stop dashing around.”
Enshin slowly sits up, holding a cloth against the right side of his ribs. “Yeah, yeah, I know.”
“And yet you keep doing the contrary.” Volo looks at the new apprentice and asks, “Can you make sure he gets to a bed?
“No problem sir,” Veera replies as she helps Hunter off the table. As the two walk out of the tiny infirmary, Enshin starts, “You don’t have to keep saying ‘sir.’ Exc
