Chapter 33
My memory of her is returning in bits and pieces, but I’m grateful. Everything is turning normal again and I pray it stays that way.

“Hey, girl!” Lizzie hits me. She sounds excited and bored at the same time. I didn’t even think that was possible.
I hug her and she half hugs me back.
She enters the house holding a box. I wonder what’s in it.
“What’s with the box?” I ask as I close the door.
She walks right past me and enters the living room. She flops on the couch and puts the box on the coffee table. The box is light brown and not too large. It also doesn’t look heavy.
“It’s just a few stuff Sterling left at my place when we were dating,” She informs me while looking directly into my eyes. She’s up to something, she has a look in her eyes.
“Oh,” I say, dragging the word.
“Oh please.” She laughs. “I threw all his things away when we ended it.” She says nonchalantly, rolling her eyes.
