“No, Rose. It’s not just that. It’s so much bigger than that.” I hear Sterling say and then the call ends abruptly.

What does he mean?

I sit on the couch next to Wesley. He’s watching a show on the TV. It’s one of his favorites, it’s called “The Flash”.

He has been obsessed with it from the very moment it was released. At a point, he even thought he could develop superpowers. I laughed way too hard at him then.

But now, I’m not so sure. If ghosts can exist, why not super-humans?

“Wesley.” I nudge him to get his attention.

"Yeah?” He turns to me.

“Something is going on and I want to let you know. The last time, I kept you in the dark, you almost died and I don’t want that again.”

I have his full attention now.

“Something is going on as in...you’re madly in love with me?” He says with a goofy smile.

I try not to smile but I fail miserably. “Come on, Wesley. I’m being serious. Be serious
