Chapter 15
Alessa immediately followed what her mother ordered. It was good news for all of them if he was really good to wake up because it seemed like he just woke up early.
She caught Elijah standing in the garden while eating fruit. It overlooked a large acacia tree that was older than both of them.
“Good morning. Eat this,” she said, carefully placing the tray on the steel table.
He turned to her, and her mother was right. Elijah looked good awake and was smiling now and his face was clear. “Thank you!” he said and sat down in the chair.
Alessa just smiled and watched him silently.
“Alicia’s cooking skills are really good! Wait, have you eaten yet?” he asked her.
“Not yet. I’ll be later after you.”
“Come, sit here.” He patted the empty chair next to him and even after a while, she sat there. “Taste it. It’s delicious.”
Surprise registered on her face when she saw Elijah’s spoon in front of her face and he was still touching it.
