Alessa’s POV

Elijah and I woke up early the next day to get ready to go to the hospital where he will have surgery on his face. I can see from my husband’s look that he is nervous about the surgery. That’s why I held your hand.

“Are you nervous?” I asked him.

He took a deep breath before nodding and speaking. “Yes, I’m nervous, but that’s normal, right?”

I smiled at him and squeezed his hand a little. “You’re right there. You’re in good hands and we know your doctors won’t abandon you, especially since Bea is your friend.”

“I know that they won’t leave me alone and that my operation will be successful. I’m worried for you that you might panic.”

“You don’t have to worry about me because I’ll just wait here and I’ll pray that what they do to you will be finished and successful.”

That’s when I suddenly remembered Alyson. I have not yet told him what he told me that he will be going to Thailand. “Babe, I have something to tell you.”
