Beatrice’s POV

As I was on the road and driving to the airport, I couldn’t name the nervousness I was feeling. I’m excited mixed with fear because Alyson and I will only meet again today. The last time we were together was when Alessa and Elijah were still married.

We didn’t talk much because we were busy with the wedding. Alyson was beautiful in those days. She’s really beautiful even if it’s just a simple day and even if she’s out of order.

I couldn’t help but smile. I look like a fool, smiling and confident. People who see me now will think I’m a fool or crazy. I just shook my head while trying to focus my full attention on the road.

I didn’t get into traffic, so I got to the airport right away. I was just getting out of the car, but my heart was failing. It seems like it will explode due to the strong pulse.
